| What is the Missouri Watercolor Society? We are individuals who have come together to promote watermedia painting in the state of Missouri. Our organization is open to anyone. We recognize the use of any water based media as long as it is done on paper or a paper product: transparent watercolor, acrylic, casein, egg tempera, gouache, pen and inks. We do not accept computer generated art at this time. At What Level Can I Join? Most individuals join as Active (artist) or Patron (non-artist). Signature status will be awarded to artists who have been accepted into two "Watercolor Missouri" exhibitions and are only then allowed to use MoWS after their name. Honorary status will be awarded by the organization to individuals who have made a significant contribution to the visual arts. Membership Levels & Fees: What
do I get? The membership will be asked to submit slides for a major competitive show, "Missouri Watercolor National." This exhibition will be open to artists outside the state. A third show will alternate annually between the following themes: The Color of Flowers, The Color of Landscape, and The Color of Abstraction. Quarterly, the membership will enjoy a magazine concerning itself with the activities of the organization, membership, exhibition and workshop possibilities, and articles on painting techniques. Membership in MoWS will also allow you a chance to showcase your work inexpensively to the largest audience in the world - the World Wide Web! We will have an online exhibition for watermedia every four months, and members can also open their own personal gallery that can include works of any media! Privacy
