The Fifth Annual
Watercolor Missouri National Exhibition

The online version of the fifth annual Watercolor Missouri National consists of three "galleries". All ninety-nine entries from the show are on display here. The paintings are displayed in alphabetical order by the artists' last name.

Please remember that the low resolution of the images here cannot do justice to the beauty of the actual paintings. But we hope to give you a representative view of the show.

All images that appear on this site are copyrighted by the individual artists and may not be legally duplicated or used for any other purpose without the consent of the artist.

Please use the buttons above to enter the galleries. You may click on the thumbnails to view the enlarged versions of the paintings. Award winners are indicated in the galleries, as well as below. Enjoy the show!

JUDGE’S STATEMENT
from Kent Addison,
Judge of Missouri Watercolor National, 2005

First, I wish to thank Missouri Watercolor Society for entrusting me to select the paintings and disperse the awards for the 5th Annual Watercolor Missouri National Exhibition.
Second, I salute each of the artists who have made themselves vulnerable to the selection process. It is the result of your studio labors and the diversity of your techniques, styles and genres which gives this exhibition its visual strength.
There were 464 slides entered by 255 artists. This exhibition contains 100 paintings created by 100 artists. Congratulations to you all. For those whose paintings have been rejected I know how difficult this can be because I have shared this experience. My wife always reassured me at those moments by saying “What does that judge know anyway, I love your work!”
Third, celebrate the gift of being an artist, feed your passion for life and work, be confident in who you are, push beyond your safety zone, and be thankful to God.

Sincerely,
Kent Addison
