How to Show Your Work on this Site

NOTE: Online exhibitions and personal galleries are for MoWS members only - Join MoWS
The Summer 2013 Members' Online show goes up June 1, 2013.
Send submissions to Laura King by May 30, 2013 to be included in the show. The submission fee is $7 per image for digital files (.jpg format) or $10 per image for photos and slides.
Checks should be made out to Laura King, not to MoWS.

Please size your images to 72 dots per inch resolution, with the longest dimension for either height or width being 6 inches (horizontals - 6" wide; verticals - 6" tall). If you're unsure how to do this, you may email me for instructions or just send what you have and I will size it. However, please be aware that very large images (high resolution and/or large dimensions, with file size of greater than 2 MB) sometimes don't come through email. If you do send very large images, it's a good idea to send me a separate email to confirm that I received them.

Please protect slides/photos with cardboard for mailing, and include a self-addressed envelope to return your work:

Important: If you would like your photos, slides or discs returned, please enclose self-addressed return packaging including appropriate postage. We will handle your submissions with care, but cannot be responsible for any damage that may occur in the mail.

Personal Galleries (example: www.mowsart.com/galleries/yourname):

The fee for a Personal Gallery is $150 (paid once), plus a $50 hosting fee (paid annually). Each personal gallery includes an artist home page, a gallery page, and a contact page. The gallery page has thumbnail-sized images of your paintings, which are linked to individual informational pages with the painting shown larger. There is a slideshow of your paintings featured on the home page (similar to the MoWS home page, which has a slideshow of the current members' online show).

The initial fee for the personal gallery includes five postings of your artwork to the site. Thereafter, the fee will be $10 per image. Requested text changes will be billed in fifteen-minute increments at our hourly rate of $40. It generally takes about 15 minutes to do a simple round of text changes, which would cost the artist $10. Any requested redesign of a personal gallery will also be billed at $40 per hour.
